Walk From Troll Cars To Glacier

Recommended Posts

We have booked the troll cars excursion to the glacier, just wondering how hard (steep/uneven/long) the walk from the troll cars is to the glacier? Only wondering as my wife walks with a stick because of her bad hip. Do you have a set time to get up there and then back to the troll car?

Thanks

They did give us a return time. You can email them to see if they can give you a later return trip. It really wasn't a bad walk - I was very surprised that my 2 year old made it (we sent my 6 year old and husband ahead and figured the 2 year old and I would go as far as we could and then turn around. He slowly but steadily walked all the way to the glacier). Honestly, the glacier has been hit hard by global warming so the bus and troll car are the highlight for some visitors on this excursion so even if you don't make it all the way it is still a pleasant experience. The cafe at the souvenir stand has excellent waffles - try to get them when they are fresh.

Also, if you are in olden you can also go to the Loen skylift, which has amazing views and is really accessible for people with disabilities. Olden adventures runs buses to both attractions.
