Copper River Cruise Tour

We leave in one week July 11 northbound on the Dawn Princess with the cruisetour to follow including Copper River 2 nts, Denali 2 nts (including Tundra Tour) and finally Anchorage 1 nt. Has anyone out there done this tour this year and what fun things did you do at these places. Thanks

We stayed at the Copper River for 2 nights last year. This has got to me my most favorite princess lodge in Alaska. It is so beautiful and peaceful. I wish they had a spa there! We did the city tour that takes you to the little town of Chitina and then over to the river to watch the natives catching Salmon in their fish wheels. We saw a mama moose and her twin calves! The next day we did the jet boat excursion. Boy is that exilerating. The guys that do this are brothers and great guides. The kids loved it!

I just wished we were going back there this year!

An excellent option here in my opinion is a fly in to Kennicott. It is a disadvantage to be here without a car however.
