Beginner's Scuba

I'm leaving on the Valor on 4/13 and will do this excursion in Roatan... I'll let you know what I think when I get back!

I did a beginner scuba dive in Roatan on a previous cruise through an independent operator and it was a wonderful experience. I went with Carnival this time around due to a shorter amount of time in port.

Just curious to see if anyone has done this excursion. We're considering it for our June cruise--DH, myself, 18 y/o daughter and 20 y/o son. Would love any input. Thanks!!

Back in the 80's this was called a resort course. Was the best way I got hooked on Diving. Got my certification in 1990 and been diving ever since. Had a buddy do this in Roatan with Sueno del Mar Diving Resort and loved it.

You'll either love it & will never want to snorkel again or you might be scared to do it again. I've seen both reactions although I've definitely seen more of the "loved it"!

I tried it on my 1st cruise and fell in love with it! When I got back I started the courses for my cert. It is just so relaxing being under the waves & the view can't be beat!!
