RCCL Liberty vs. Carnival Freedom similar itineraries and pricing...BUT

on Carnival I can do a balcony and inside; on RCCL I'm connecting insides. within $100 difference. Both 7 nights leaving from Galveston.

Which would be better for family with teens? Thanks.

Sorry - it might take a little while, since not everyone here has sailed both RC and Carnival, especially with children.

AH OK. bummer. don't have much time. have both on courtesy holds and they are popular time [spring break].

You might want to post your question on both the RCI and Carnival boards.

I would go with a balcony for the adults, and an inside for the kids...kids do NOT need or care about a balcony! Carnival's cabins are larger than RCI's standard cabins, anyway...by 35 sq. ft!!!

I like Carnival better. My kids liked their kid programming. And I would choose a balcony and inside over other options any day!

If you need more time, you might want to ask them if they will extend a courtesy hold for another day - I did this on a HAL cruise in which I was booking 2 cabins for relatives, and it took them a bit longer to figure out exactly what they wanted. HAL was fine with extending the hold another day when I called them to request it.

My daughter is 9 and she loves RCCL more than carnival. The children's program is hands down better. We have been on 10 cruises and if anyway possible we do royal.

i went with RCCL.

I think u made the right choice.... I have only done one carnival cruise and my 18 year old daughter and I preferred RCL hands down. I started cruising with her when she was about 9 years old and she is 26 now.... She has done almost every other line at different ages and still prefers RCL to this day.
