cruisingbarb Posted September 17, 2008 #1 Share Posted September 17, 2008 Has anyone cruised the Eastern Mediterranean lately on the Star Clipper? We are booked for the 11 day Athens to Venice next July and have some questions about ports and port time, etc. Would love to hear from anyone with recent information. brianardmore Posted October 13, 2008 #3 Share Posted October 13, 2008 My wife & I have completed our 13th cruise on Star Clippers this summer - on the Royal Clipper out of Rome to Venice. The Croatian Coast is stunning, and the Kotor Fjord in Montenegro is just fabulous. We are planning to do Athens to Venice next July - might be the same trip you are on. To us this will be the best of all as we loved Santorini (been there three times, including maiden cruise on Flyer many years ago with Captain Gerhardt!). Corfu is great too. I think that the itinerary will prove to be the best in the Med - combination of Greek islands and the Dalmatian coast. Of course the best bit of all is arriving in Venice at dawn up the Canal! cruisingbarb Posted October 16, 2008 Author #4 Share Posted October 16, 2008 Sounds like we are on the same cruise. We've done numerous Windjammers but never a Star Clipper so are really looking forward to it. There are five couples from Spokane. Are you guys traveling alone or with others? cruisingbarb Posted November 13, 2008 Author #6 Share Posted November 13, 2008 Since you're a veteran of the Star Clipper line, would you mind if I email you privately and ask some questions?
