Hurricane Ana and the POA

Ana is cutting our cruise a little short.

Instead of leaving Kauai Friday afternoon, the Captain is leaving at 6AM in order to get back to Honolulu on Friday before the storm hits. We will spend the night in Honolulu and still disembark on Saturday AM.

Doesn't look like we will see Na'Pali coast [emoji26]

Turns out we will get a sea day after all!

I know that's a disappointment but please enjoy your sea day better safe than sorry.

Thanks for all the info you have provided so far.

I'm watching the live streaming news from Honolulu and they said that NCL just told them that they are going back to their original schedule to cruise along the Na Pali coast today and arriving in Honolulu tonight. Thankfully Ana's track is further south of Hawaii & hopefully fewer cancelled flights. Thankfully there should be less severe affects to those in Hawaii particularly those still recovering from the damage caused by Iselle.

Hurricane Gonzalo was just downgraded to a Cat 3 but is forecasted to hit Bermuda with 125 mph winds. :(

Someone posted from the POA today on the NCL Board that the Captain had just announced they will do the Na Pali sail by before they head out toward Honolulu. Beautiful weather reported there. So it's a trade off between lost excursion time Friday am in Kauai in exchange for a beautiful sea day off the Kauai coast.
