Carnival Sensation 4/20/17

Hey all,

My SO and I are going on our first cruise (also our first real vacation) together in a bit less than a month. We are sailing on the Carnival Sensation to Key West and Cozumel! It's a week after our birthdays (4/12 & 4/14) so we're calling it our birthday cruise.

In KW I already scheduled a suprise of parasailing on the latest one possible. We're only in KW from about 8am-1pm, so we're parasailing from 11-12. Other than that we're completely open.

I'm wondering if anyone has tips for the ports we're sailing to, or any tips for the ship itself. We're really easy going people so we normally just go with the flow of things. We already purchased the Cheers! package because he tends to drink fairly regularly and this will be my 21st so we figured "why not," (also because specialty coffee is calling my name).

Any tips and suggestions would be great!

I would move up your parasailing by an hour, if possible. If the ship sails at 1pm, you must be back onboard by 1230. You are cutting it close. EM

Fortunately, we booked through the Carnival Excursions page. It says that means that they will wait for us, isn't that true?

No worries if you have a carnival excursion!

We only picked the latest time because we're not sure how much of early risers we'll be on vacation since we've never really taken one before. There was no way we were gonna try to book a private excursion with it being our first time! LOL

I sailed on the Sensation a few weeks ago - we loved the bar outside the casino at night - the bartenders where great and there was always some sort of live music being played right behind us.

The other fun thing we did was we went to the trivia in the lobby at night - the cruise director Mat made it a ton of fun!!!
