Villefranche, Antibes and Nice

We are scheduled to be in port in Villefranche 7:00am to 5:00pm. We are thinking about trying to visit Antibes, Nice, and Villefranche on our own by train. Is that a reasonable day? We are not big shoppers, so we don't need a lot of shopping time.

Thoughts and advice appreciated!

Antibes and Nice are easily doable for a port day....Villefranche wouldn't add too much time. Allot most of the time to Nice. Start with Antibes, get to Nice before flower market ends...and perhaps consider just taking the bus back to Villefranche (would save time going back to the train station in Nice).

We would first take the regional bus to Nice and head to the Flower Market (best seen in the morning). The perhaps stroll around the adjacent old town and later make your way to the train station where you can catch the train to Antibes. Finally take the train from Antibes back to Villefranche and use your remaining time to get deplore this small town. Keep in mind this is a tender port so it can take some time to get ashore....and your last tender to the ship will likely be at 4:30.
