What do to in Seward pre-boarding ?

Recommended Posts

Hi -

We are flying into Anchorage, spending the night, then taking the Alaska Railroad from Anchorage to Seward early the next morning (the day we board our ship in Seward)

.

The train will get us into Seward at about 11:00 AM - most posts that I have read say that they get off the train, and walk over to get on the ship.

We are not in a real hurry to get on to the ship - is there something we can do for an hour or 2 in Seward ? - Do they have a City Tour or a HO HO Bus (couldn't find one when I goggled it) -

Can someone suggest something - don't really want to go on a boat fishing, or anything - those seem to be the most popular "tours"

THANK YOU !!

Try the Sea Life Center which is on the south end of town. Its a really nice aquarium with sea lions, sea otters, sea birds, etc. Worth a couple of hours. On the Noordam? Me too. Taking the 12:30 train so won't get to Seward until 4:30 or so. Just in time to board the ship.
