Stingray City tours not thru cruise

I took a catamaran to stingray city last November and loved it. This time my husband and 2 kids are going and I wanted to take them there also.

If I book thru Norwegian it's $100 per person. I just want to go see the stingrays and then leave. I don't want to pay $400 for us to do that.

Can anyone recommend a reputable company that I can reserve a tour with? I would preferably like to do the catamaran, but I am open to other boats if it's a good deal.

Thanks!

Hi, there are several companies in Grand Cayman who do Stingray City trips for much cheaper than the cruise line's excursion.

Here are a few:

We have used Stingray Sailing the last two years we were in Grand Cayman and enjoyed both of our excursions with them. You can check them out on Trip Advisor. They have excellent reviews and Chip has a beautiful 43-foot catamaran.

Another vote for Stingray Sailing. Wonderful trip, small group, Chip and Michelle are great to deal with. There were some kids on the day I went, it would be perfect for them. Chip is careful, conscientious, and caring about the creatures (as well as the guests😀) When you are out there, you will see, not all operators are as good to the stingrays as they should be .

It's great fun to sail, rather than go in a motor boat.
