We will be getting off the Silhouette after our Baltic cruise and plan to go directly to The Hague for a few days before flying back to NYC. Anyone know the easiest, best way to go from the cruise terminal to The Hague?

Thanks.

Easiest is to get one of the many frequent trains from Amsterdam Centraal to The Hague. The trainstation is walkable (15 minutes) from the terminal or tramnr 26 to Centraal station for a short ride. However how easy it is also depends how much luggage you have, since you have to put it into and from the train yourself. Most trains donot realy have that good space for it, unless you stay close to the entrance doors. There are a few collapsable (sp?) seats there. In 1st class it will be a bit more comfortable. But watch your luggage at all times, especialy during stops.

Your other choice might be a private driver. http://dagtoertaxi.nl/services.html

Please note that if you are on the cruise of august 22 due to Sail Amsterdam your ship will dock at a different location.

Check where you're staying in The Hague (Den Haag); and pick the station closer to where you're going as few trains stop of both stations in Den Haag. There's Den Haag Centraal which a terminus for most trains that serve it, and Den Haag HS (Hollands Spur), which is about a km further down the line, but on the main line for through trains heading to Rotterdam and beyond. Despite HS being slightly further from Amsterdam, it tends to be ever so slightly faster.

The dutch rail site is excellent, http://ns.nl/ (if you just type in Den Haag, it assumes Centraal)

The train stops at even more stations on the way, also at Den Haag Mariahoeve and Den Haag Laan van Nieuw-Oost-Indie. Past CS and HS is also Ypenburg and Moerwijk. So do be aware where you are getting off.
