Can anyone let me know whether we will be able to walk to a beach from the port at St Maartens.

Also is there anywhere at St Kitts near to the port such as a town or village or beach instead of going on an organised excursion.

Is Madeira easy to get around on your own.?

Yes you can its about 20mins or you can take a water taxi. Its a great beach we always go to the far end for best deals and the food just off the beach is great. You can also get a cheap taxi back if you don't fancy the walk back, this is one of our favourite beaches along with Harbour Lights in Bridgetown Barbados. Very envious, have a great one.

Thanks for that. We'll do that at St Maartens. We did think about doing the beach transfer excursion to Cane Beach but will just walk to the beach instead.

The best beach by far is Mayo beach..There you can see the planes including jumbo ones landing very close up..I think from the port its about $10 each if you share a taxi..if youve never been there before its really worth a visit

Thanks for the information. I have read about Mayo Beach. That is not a bad price so we may go by taxi.
