Seeking reviews of Thenford Grey Tours - Capital City Tour & Beach Splash (St. Kitts)

My family and I (a party of 9) are thinking of taking the 6-hour Capital City Tour & Beach Splash with Thenford Grey while we are docked in St. Kitts. Has any CC taken this tour? We are seeking feedback. TIA :cool:

While we didn't do their Capital City Tour & Beach Splash I can't recommend Thenford Grey strongly enough. We were on their Multi-Beach Snorkle last year and their service was impeccable! Quick at answering emails, smooth pick up at port, nice tour, great driver, amazing snorkling guide, fair prices... and we received a private tour as we were the only two booked on that excursion that day. Others cancelled on us because of not enough people (cruise line for one).

We took Thenford's Grand Tour Of St. Kitts last year and it was excellent. We were fourtunate to have Thenford as our guide and he was a most gracious and knowledgeable host. You can't go wrong if you book one of his tours.

We are staying at the Marriott on St Kitts for 10 nights. We used Mr Grey for the Grand Tour this past Saturday. He is wonderful - very well spoken and knowledgeable. His bus is very nice and has AC that keeps it quite cool. We really had a great day and I would not hesitate to use Mr Grey for future tours! He loves this island and has so much to share.

We ended our day at Shipwreck Bar which had great food and cheap buckets of beer. We even did a little snorkeling. Not sure when you are planning to go, but Cockleshell Beach (Reggae Beach Bar) currently has lots of seaweed so not sure if that's included on the stop.

We used him when we visited St. Kitts. It was just us and our 2 friends. We had Mr. Grey himself. It was an awesome tour. Highly recommend him!

To answer your question, we did the tour with Mr.Grey. There was our family of 5, us and our 3 teenage sons. And if i remember correctly about 3 other families consisting of 2, 3, and 4, respectively. Mr.Grey, himself, was our guide and he is without a doubt one of the nicest, smartest, down-to-earth people that we have ever encountered. Best independent tour that we have ever done. Before this one, I would have said Bernard's Tours on St.Martin but Mr.Grey's tour was even better. Our sons still talk about this tour 2 1/2 years later. He made quite an impression on them.

We are going to do a day pass for use of the beach amenities and the pool at this resort. Could you please share your thoughts about the facilities.

Beach is large and beautiful with great permanent sun shelters. This is the Atlantic side so there are some waves but water is clear. They are currently experiencing the seaweed but of course that will depend on when you visit. There is a guy set up on the beach giving massages. My family members used him a few times during our stay and were impressed by the aloe massage and the great price. The actual resort is beautiful with a large pool and swim up bar. Lots of chairs and they all have sun shades. There is a "pizza shack" located near the pool with really yummy pizza that is reasonably priced. There is also a casino and a couple gift shops where you could also purchase snacks. Also nice restrooms/showers located at the pool. Taxis are always located outside the lobby. The doorman will assist. We were impressed with the beauty of the island AND the beauty of the people of St Kitts.

When are you going on this tour (or thinking about going)? We are booked for it over Thanksgiving this year.

Coolwhip82, we have reserved Mr. Grey for our cruise, Nov 24 on the Fascination. After checking here and other places, I decided he was the tour guy for us. Hope whoever you select gives you the best tour.

Little late to the posts here...but I would suggest emailing him about a privet tour for your group. The privet tours are very well priced. Did the tour you are asking about last year and it was the best tour of the WHOLE cruise we took.

You will love the tour. We loved it so much all the other tours we took last year on our cruise failed it meet this companies high standards. Hope you enjoy the tour as much as we did.

The fort is an absolute must see, take the time to climb to the top, and his knowledge of plants at the botanical garden was amazing! We were with him in October, air conditioned bus was refreshing and appreciated! I received a reply from online booking inquiry within 24 hours.

Glad you had a great time on his tour. Just returned from doing a private tour with his company this time! I will be using his company again next year when I go to St Kitts!
