Safety concerns for lone woman going to YaYa Beach

My cruising buddies will be off doing other things when we are in Costa Maya. I am going to spend the day at YaYa beach by myself. Are there any safety issues I need to be concerned about...

1. Walking from the pier to get a cab?

2. Hanging at the beach all day?

3. Leaving my things on the beach to snorkel?

4. Getting a cab back to the pier?

TIA

The only thing to be concerned about is leaving your things while swimming or snorkeling. BTW, snorkeling isn't that good along the main malecon. Everywhere else you'll be surrounded by fellow cruisers. But for peace of mind, reach out to your roll call and see if anyone else from your ship is planning on heading there. A group is always more fun.
