Go Pro camera

Recommended Posts

Thoughts....

  • pro's
  • great images with a compact size

  • solid camera for active lifestyles

  • con's
  • no optical zoom

  • no image stabilization

  • distortion with the wide angle

  • most models don't have a view finder.... you need a smartphone to review your images

  • some models have heat issues

  • may be hard to handle/carry without a mount. How much are the mounts? How many mounts do you want to buy?

  • does not use a standard tripod thread mount.... need to get an adapter.

  • potential issues
  • battery life depending on how much video you want to do

To clarify.... why and where do you think you need a Go Pro?

Unless you're an action-selfie enthusiast, a decent mid-range waterproof camera like an Olympus Tough or Sony TX series will double as a snorkeling camera and will provide much better general photography.
