lallarebecca Posted August 19, 2014 #1 Share Posted August 19, 2014 (edited) Hi! I´ve come across a great deal from Royal Caribbean, a 10 days cruise in the Soth pacific in early December next year. The itinerary is: Brisbane - Champagne Bay, Vanuatu - Vila, Vanuatu - Mystery Island, Vanuatu - Noumea, New Caledonia - Lifou, Loyalty Island - Brisbane. Since I have never been cruising this part of the South Pacific before I would like to ask if it is a good time to go there in December? Would be very happy for your advice. Rare aussielozzie18 Posted August 19, 2014 #2 Share Posted August 19, 2014 Hi Rebecca Great itinerary! You will love Champagne Bay (beautiful beach), heaps of markets. Lifou is great for snorkelling if you walk up from the wharf to Jinek Bay (lots of coral and fish). We sailed last December. Seas were calm the whole 9 days. We had really good weather. Bizzybeez Posted August 19, 2014 #3 Share Posted August 19, 2014 We cruised to the South Pacific last December and the weather was fantastic! It was a great time of year to cruise. If you decide to go, I would suggest you buy some cheap-ish goggles, snorkels and reef shoes. We were soooo glad we wore our reef shoes when we went to Lifou!
