On Board Credit and Drink Package

I have booked an RCCL cruise that includes a $300 on board credit. I would like to use it towards the drink packages. Is that possible? and if so can I purchase before the cruise, or do I have to wait to be on board to purchase the package to have the credit apply? Thanks.

You have to wait until you are onboard to use onboard credit on Royal.

In addition, you can purchase the packages anytime on board during your cruise as long as there are at least four consecutive days including the final day remaining.

As clarea indicated this would allow you to use your OBC for the packages.

IS There any difference in ROYAL OBC opposed to OBC that I Bought ?

can they both be used at the casino etc ... would I pay any fee at the casino for using OBC that I purchased ?

Both OBCs can used used for the same purchases. You would incur a fee at the casino if your onboard account is secured by a credit card, regardless of whether you have OBC or what kind of OBC you have.

The difference would be when you have OBC left over at the end of the cruise. Purchased OBC is refundable, Royal's OBC is not. They are supposed to use non-refundable OBC first.

Never had a problem of leaving OBC left on my account. How does that happen?:confused:
