Downtown Puerto Plata & The Beach On Your Own

We understand the need to explore, discover, and engage with new places and new people without planning. That is why we built this excursion! Tours are scheduled to depart Amber Cove at regular intervals. Travelers must book a tour. The buses will pass through the city and make its first stop at Plaza Independencia where you can get off the bus and look around the City Centre. The City Centre is just a 5-minute walk from the Malecon (boulevard), where there are many bars and restaurants. The bus will continues to Playa Dorada, where it will stop at Blue Jack Tar – where there is a private beach. At the beach you can rent a sun lounger, relax, and enjoy a day in the sand! The final tour stop is at the Plaza in Playa Dorada, a great spot to people watch, shop for souvenirs and gifts to take home, or challenge a local to a game of dominoes.

Duration: Tours are scheduled to depart Amber Cove beginning at 9am with the last tour booking available to leave Amber Cover at 5pm. Travelers can return to Amber Cove throughout the day and early evening. Tour guides will provide exact departure locations and times.

We took this excursion on our Sept 11 sailing. It was very enjoyable and well worth the cost per person. The beach was beautiful and we were able to enjoy snacks, drinks and a gorgeous sunset. Will be doing it again when we return to the Adonia in January.

Were the hours for that tour 3 - 6pm or buses back and forth all day as indicated in my original post?

When I went to book this in my Fathom account, it said 3 - 6pm which I thought was odd.

I wrote Fathom about this and am awaiting a response.
