Andromeda Botanical Gardens

Me darling wife and I will be stopping at Barbados on Sunday, January 15th and would like to visit Andromeda Botanical Gardens on our own. I have read that it is not too difficult for walking with strolling landscape. I am sure that we can catch a cab outside of the cruise terminal. Does anyone have an idea as to how much it costs to get there in U.S. dollars? We would want to take our time during the visit, so we won't ask it to wait. Will a cab come out to get us when we are finished if we ask the driver or have the information/ticket booth at the gardens call for one?

Any other advice you could give for our visit to the gardens would be appreciated.
