Is this feasible? Islandstar?

Our ideal day would be to stop at the local grocery to buy spices and then see the Chocolate area (Belmont/Chocolate factory) and maybe a nutmeg plantation for a 1/2 day and then hit Grand Anse or another beach for 2 hours before returning to the port at 4:30pm.

Totally feasible and you can do it in a number of ways. You could book it in advance with one of our tour operators like Sunsation Tours and build your own day OR just as easy when you arrive talk to the water taxi association and tell them exactly what you want to do  You could visit one of our more out of the way beaches which has a lovely restaurant as part of your day - so tour in the morning then lunch and beach time at La Sagesse then back to port. If you wanted to visit the beach everyone else will be going to you could go to Umbrellas for lunch and Grand Anse Beach

Thanks so much! Do you have any idea about taxi prices to do something like this? We have 4 adults and 2 kids.

Also are there any nutmeg plantations or interesting sights near Belmont Estate?

Sorry I missed this question - Some of the Taxis offer US$25 per hour when doing a tour and add a little extra depending on numbers involved. Ask at the Taxi Association desk when you arrive and they will sort you out for the day :D
