Private tours of London

Does anyone know of a private tour company in London? Something similar to Rominlimo in Rome?

Any black taxi in London will have a driver who has passed the"knowledge" and can give you a wonderful tour. Just tell him what you are interested in.

Secondly, transportation is amazing and if you do your homework you can do things on your own. There also are many "not so private" HOp On Hop Off buses that one can use.

In London, I'm a great fan of getting from place to place on my own via Tube and renting audio guides once I arrive. The following places offer audio guides (some are multi-media guides):

o Churchill War Rooms

o British Museum

o St Paul's Cathedral

o Tower of London

o Parliament (restricted hours of access for either audio or live guides)

o etc.

We booked "Love London Taxi Tours" this August for a 4 hour private tour. David is the owner and operator, he was a London cabbie and he was wonderful. I highly recommend David
