New Orleans Bayou Boogaloo

We are going to be staying in New Orleans prior to our cruise in May, and I saw that the Bayou Boogaloo is going on at that time. Has anyone gone to that and should we try to go to it. I see that we can take the street car and get within a couple of blocks. Is that a safe area of town that we can walk around?

The area is safe, and the festival is a lot of fun. Good food and local music.
