When I booked our cruise they left room as unassigned. What does this mean?

She said because we have 5 people in my room that there is a chance of an upgrade. I take it that is a good thing?

Any tips or suggestions are welcomed. we are leaving from Jacksonville Fl. and sailing to Nassau Bahamas in June

I would not take a guarantee cabin with 5 of you in one cabin-

I would want to avoid the noisy areas.

Booking that way is cheaper but for piece of mind its a cheap price to pay knowing I was away from the noisy areas.

For shame on that agent. Most people only get upgraded in the category they booked..

Did youbook an inside cabin? or oceanview.

your chances of getting what you booked on a higher deck is good. (but the chance of you getting a cabin located under that galley or under the pool deck is there too.

What is the age groups of the people in the cabin?

one person will be sleeping on a roll away.

Have you priced the difference between what you booked and two cabins?

you may be surprised at how low it could be.

We did 5 of us in an insdie on our first cruise-- it saved us over 700 to do so.

Its gonna be VERY tight. Organization wil be HUGE for you

We did not book a specific room. When I go to carnival and look at room assignment it says "unassigned". I was told we would be told what room when we got on board and that chances of an upgrade were high.. I could not tell you what price range our room was in either.

you will know before you board.

You have to mark your luggage.

do NOT give your luggage to a porter with out them confirming your assignment. they have a manifest with everyones name and cabin number.

you will need a room with at least 4 beds to accomadate 5 people.

looking at deck plans you will be placed in any room that has two dots on it.
