Wondering if they make you take your shoes off as you go through.

If so I'm thinking of just wearing my flip flops due to being on a walker because of weak leg and back muscles because of 2 major surgeries and treatment for another medical concern and it's hard, nearly impossible right now, for me to remove my shoes while standing.

Thanks for any help.

Ship or airport?

I've never had to take off shoes for screening at a cruise terminal.

Unless you're under I think 12 or over something like 70, or are TSA Pre-Check, shoes come off at the airport.

At the cruise terminal no, you keep your shoes on. The taking shoes off thing is primarily at airports and it is a TSA requirement. TSA does not handle security at the cruise port.
