We will be sailing on a Red Sea cruise on Armonia in March and are not sure if we need any Visas in advance, as we are flying to and sailing from Egypt. We are British passport holders and will be cruising to Israel and Jordan. Any help will be appreciated.

No advance visas necessary. All passengers will be on a group visa for those ports. You won't have to do anything but show your passport to the local immigration officials.

Hi guys.

Not quite sure this info is correct.

We were on Poesia in Sept. we had to get Visas for Israel and the Egyptian authorities stamped our passports. This was all done onboard, but it did mean queing a lot.

To clarify, the Egyptian or Israele immigration officers will be in the ship's theatre one day prior to landing at one or the other of their respective ports to check the passports of all the passengers. The Egyptians enter a one-day "visa" stamp in the passports while the Israelies stamp a separate card but not the passport. There is no cost and a few minutes wait in line is no big thing. Ship staff members will be on hand to ensure everything runs smoothly. Landing in Jordan is just showing your passport as you disembark/reembark.

Since you are flying into Egypt to embark on the cruise there, you may have to get a simple visa on arriving at the Cairo airport unless you're on an MSC fly/cruise ticket, in which case the MSC ground staff will have done that for you prior to arrival.
