That's going to depend on where your ship docks. Which pier are you going to be at. That will give you different options. If you are in town at Punta Langosta you will have a LOT of authentic options. At the International and Puerta Maya piers, not so authentic. More of Fat Tuesdays and Senor Frogs.....:(

I assume you are talking about your April 2014 cruise.

Most NCL ships do dock at Punta Langosta, the "downtown pier".

So you have ha wide selection of restaurants to choose from both around the pier and in town. If you walk a couple of blocks from the pier to the Plaza and then straight through the Plaza to the other side, you'll find Casa Denis, one of the oldest, if not the oldest restaurants on the island. It specializes in Yucatan style cuisine, but nothing that'll be too unfamiliar to you. The food and service are very good. There are numerous other places along the plaza and the water front as well.

If you head left off the pier and go toward the ferry pier, there's a musuem and a nice cafe associated with it. Also there's Los Cincos Soles main store and the main branch of Panchos BackYard which many cruisers rave over; strong margaritas and good chile rellenos.
