Ontario_Cruiser Posted May 27, 2014 #1 Share Posted May 27, 2014 In this thread http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2013674 it is stated that it is about 1 mile walk to Surfside beach. Is it a nice walk? Are there sidewalks or a path that keeps you off the roadway? I have looked on google maps but it just seems like a busy road is all there is. Thanks! Hatteras51 Posted May 27, 2014 #2 Share Posted May 27, 2014 (edited) Personally, I wouldn't walk from the cruise port to Surfside Beach. The road is very busy, and it would be a long, hot walk. There are sidewalks through town, and I think that section of the linear park is now complete all of the way to Reflextions, which used to be called Nikky Beach. That is a walkway that runs through the town and out a ways. I would just opt for a cab. The taxi fare wouldn't be much from there. You could check out the walkways along the way, and then decide if you want to walk back. Edited May 27, 2014 by Hatteras51
