We will be on the Pride of America this summer and are trying to decide between Body Glove Cruises and Fair Winds. It seems that Body Glove provides snorkeling at Red Hill and Fair Winds at Kealakekua Bay. Does anyone have any experience with these two tours?

The three Kona snorkeling tours you see mentioned frequently here would be Body Glove, Fair Winds and Captain Zodiac. The later two go to Kealakekua I believe. Body Glove may be the tour company that NCL uses and leaves near the ship. We have done Fair Winds which is about a 20 min taxi ride from the ship. We liked it a lot. There are a couple other threads on the board currently discussing this same topic.

We will be on POA 10/8/16

We just tonite decided to do the ships Big Island Snorkel Redhill. 10 yrs ago we went on the Body Glove Boat and it was so nice. The slides, the breakfast, all the gear, big ship, restrooms, lunch, and cocktails after the swim persuaded us against the rubber raft (Zodiac). The Zodiac is more adventurous and will get you closer to the dolphins, but there is no shade, no restrooms, and if you have back problems, nothing to rest on.

Big Island is also an hour longer. Either one will be great, but because this was one of our favorite excursions 10 yrs ago, we decided to go with the Big Island.

Still trying to figure out our other days...We for sure are doing day 2 Kauai Tubing Adventure so we make it back to the ship in time :)

The Best snorkeling on the Big Island is Kealakekua Bay! There are a few good operators that are licensed to take tours there. Fairwinds and Body Glove are both large boats with lots of people. Do the morning tour and enjoy the dolphins in the bay!
