Baymont Inn & Suites Miami Airport

Has anybody stayed there recently? We will be there this saturday.

I did, it is fine. Nice large, clean rooms, helpful service, good free breakfast and free parking / shuttle to pier.

If this is the one on the NW side of the airport on Le Jeune Rd. we stayed there 1/20/06 pre-cruise. Waited only 5 minutes for the shuttle from airport to hotel. Ate dinner next door at Bennigan's. The room was very clean. There was no TV reception the weekend we were there because they were working on the roof which had been damaged in the hurricane. Therefore, we went to bed early and were very, very well rested for the cruise!! The breakfast was excellent, including scrambled eggs & sausage, which was more than I had expected. We were booked on the 11 AM shuttle to the airport and were on the ship by 12:30.

I wouldn't stay there if we were staying for a week as it's too far from sightseeing activities. However, for the one night it was fantastic. We booked last August and pre-paid through an on-line travel agent and got our room for $79.11 INCLUDING taxes. This price was even better than the hotel's web price.

How does the shuttle work? Is it the hotel's shuttle or an outsider? When do you have to book it and when does it leave the hotel? Thanks

We signed up for the hotel shuttle when we checked in. The gal at the desk asked if we wanted the 11:00 shuttle and we did. The shuttle was like a mini-bus and dropped some off at Carnival & then at NCL. They may also have dropped off at Royal Caribbean as there were 2 ships at the dock.

The shuttle from airport to hotel was a van.
