Hey all I have a quick question. I remember when I was younger and went on my first cruise on the Carnival Ecstasy in 1991 I remember seing the ship Norway. I remember it becuz at the time I i think it was the longest ship out and i remember the double smoke stacks. Anyway my question is what ever happend to this ship? Im guessing its retired now but where did it end up? Any info appreciated

Thanks

Brad

Technically, she's awaiting a decision of the Indian Supreme Court as to whether she can lawfully be scrapped at Alang. The decision is due in early December, IIRC - although one has to remember that this is "Indian time" that we are talking about.

I don't think anyone is holding out much hope that she can be saved, despite the repeated rumours of efforts to do so.
