Would you mind posting the cost of the class?

My husband and I take my mother on a cruise twice each year. We are all Platinum status with NCL and are addicted to the Haven. In June of next year we will be sailing for the first time with Oceania in Class C cabins. This seems quite a step down and I'm wondering if I've made the right choice leaving the Haven OS or 2BR suite for 2 ocean view cabins on the Marina (equal costs). Thoughts?

Yes, air conditioned. Sometimes, too much so.

So, no Haven dinner. Bummer. Will settle for private dinners in our suite most nights.

When I was last aboard the Pearl, there was no Haven dining room -- breakfast and lunch for Haven guests was served in either Cagney's or Moderno. Has that changed?

You will LOVE this. The scenery is spectacular. The word "breathtaking" truly applies to Glacier Bay. Hope you agree at the end of your cruise.

Perhaps we should get the thread away from rating opinions of on board staff and back on the topic of identifying who's on board.

Perhaps you are not familiar with the staffing protocols of NCL's mega ships.

When dealing with "the ladies at the Haven Concierge desk", you were dealing with David Contreras's personal staff. The mega ships are so large and that providing Concierge service to Haven & Non Haven Suite guests, and all Platinum guests requires the Concierge to have a staff of 2 or 3 Assistant Concierges. If you were pleased the the services of the "ladies", then you were pleased with David Contreras. From personal experience, I know David to be among the top 3 Concierges in the Fleet.

Interesting opinion. I've sailed NCL's smaller ships and, most recently, the Getaway and Escape. We typically interact with the Concierge frequently. On this cruise aboard Escape, we were in a Deluxe Owners Suite. I left two requests for David to contact me. Nada. Lilibeth was very helpful, yes, but I opted not to do a birthday surprise for my grandson when David didn't respond to a second request to discuss.

We SERIOUSLY missed Adrian on our 2/20/16 cruise. We met David upon boarding, with a large group of other Haven guests. Never saw him again. Anything I needed, I went to the ladies at the Haven Concierge desk (THANK YOU, LILIBETH!). Never had a concierge ignore us before.

Steep, yes, but there is an elevator 1/2 block south. I highly recommend this Marriott, Cutters restaurant, and the flying fish at the market.

Did I overlook the ship name? The only reason I ask, I read a thread yesterday discussing that vibe passes (for that ship) were no longer at customer service and no more cabanas. Other tips were provided as well. Search for recent posts with VIBE.

Hi, @Sonnieb in Fort Worth! Ozzie's Mom in Flower Mound here. I started looking yesterday for accommodation and transportation for our October PC cruise. We stayed aboard the Queen Mary last time. The Windsor Suite was perfect for the three of us and we loved Sir Winston's for dinner. Looking for a new adventure this time.
