  1. We are really happy with the size and the layout of the cabin. Yes the TV is to the side of the lounge so you can't watch from the lounge...there's 2 arm chairs thou? We barely watch TV and if we did would be in bed. The bathroom is great...2 showers..yes the stand alone shower is small but easy to use the one over the bath...which has jets also. I really like the dressing area...perfect for doing make-up or if you had 3 or sharing with not your partner then great for privacy. Plenty of storage. The deck is huge!!!!! And although really too cold to sit out there the views are amazing for alaska. As for the sofa bed it's not pulled out so not sure what that would be like bur it's a good size couch so guessing it would be a decent size bed
  2. Just some pics for anyone interested in the aft suites. Very pleased with our choice, room is very large and comfortable and the deck is huge!! 20230430_114905.mp4
  3. Hey everyone....cruising out of vancouver on the 30th april. Is Verifly still a thing?? neccessary? cheers Kylie
  4. thankyou for your response! hopefully the mechanical issue is all sorted out for our cruise end of april!
  5. Apologies for my ignorance but what does it mean when they swap to a charter?
  6. oh thats a great video thanks! thats fine by me! im not really into off roading
  7. yes true and no i havent called anyone...we are in australia so a little tricky with the time zones etc but i could email for sure
  8. From what i can see the car rentals are now at the airport...i had also read somewhere in the forum recently that the port avis had been closed. In doing numerous searches i can find a car rental company in town. the cruiseline was involved as they offer a shore excursion with a jeep rental through unplugged adventures but when you try to book directly they direct you back to your cruise company
  9. interesting...shame I cant book through them. And even when I go direct to unplugged adventures it makes you book through the cruiseline. for the 4 door its 459$ seems huge money for a jeep and it now seems any car rental places are at the airport>??
  10. Oh yes sorry I didn't know that rule and yes this wasn't a discussion for sharing at all
  11. thanks for the response....no problems at all! we may see you there 🙂

    jeep in juneau

Hey everyone we will be in Juneau in early may on the NA...Im looking at doing the tour with self guided jeep which comes with a choice of 2 door or 4 door. Theres on 2 of us so obviously 2 doors is fine and cheaper, however there is already a waiting list for that. If I wanted to get a 4 door that is available at a higher cost. Is this likely the case? or do they just try to sell out of 4 doors first to get more money? TIA Kylie
  13. got hold of holland america ...no they wont allow us to do that from Australia...just an FYI for others who may be interested. So Ill stick with the 11:30 flight atm...will do self assist..check in the night before and hope for the best!!
  14. Just had a look and it wont allow me to book a flight from canada , only from an Australian city...?
  15. thanks!! Ill have a look now...never heard of it!
  16. Must admit I've never heard of flight ease? We are in Australia
  17. Thanks everyone! Payment is already made and I did pay extra for a changeable flight. Yes I thought being a domestic flight we should be ok...just an hr before check in? And we would definitely do self assist getting off the ship... And yes probably true this may not be the last change with flights!! Thanks again!
  18. Hey everyone, We get off the NA in Vancouver may 7th... we then fly from Vancouver to montreal that day.. With advice from this forum (many thanks ) we booked the 1pm flight so we had a bit of time up our sleeves but not too much waiting around at the airport... Anyway the airline has changed our flight to 11:30am and I have to accept that or change to a much later or non direct flight. Will we make the 11:30 flight ok?? Many thanks for any advice Kylie
  19. Thanks guys! Having never done a HAL cruise let alone a neptune suite I suppose we won't notice the difference in size and thinking although it might be chilly on the verandah it would be awesome to have the great space for the views!
  20. Cruise is the alaskan 7 day inside passage ...
  21. Hey everyone, I did look this up...but still a little confused SA neptune vs SB neptune aft? I understand the location differences and the walk to the lounge would do me good! But some posts say the aft suites are smaller internally? Looking at the deck plans I actually thought they looked larger? Or am I just imagining that?? TIA
