A quick question that I should know.

Are the benefits the same regardless of booking on-board or selecting the future booking form.

BTW -  I learned that you can pay the $100 pp for the certificate and still book an upper suite (limiting you out of pocket at time of purchase).   When you our your agent go to book they just collect the additional Deposit

Thanks for this. If I understand you correctly, I can book an upper suite with $100 pp deposit till I decide which travel agency I want to take over the booking.

  2. I am thinking of booking a future cruise while I am on board in a couple of weeks. Main reason is to take advantage of reduced deposit of $100 per person. Read somewhere that this reduction does not apply to upper suites.

    Questions;

Is this correct or is it negotiable?

Is this deposit refundable to form of payment or to FCC?

Depending on the answer to the above, next benefit would be to transfer to another agent before final payment.

Can this be transferred to AMEX travel? (could use my points)

How about Air Canada Vacations? (could use AC gift cards)

Finally, anyone have a link to current Celebrity on board booking benefits?

    Thank you.

Have you checked to confirm that the original gratuity amount billed and paid was correct to begin with?

    bon voyage

First invoice didn’t have any of the perks on it, just the onboard credit. Second one had the drinks, wifi billed then credited. Tips billed but not credited.  Will call this morning and post an update. Thanks

  4. Booked a sky suite for a cruise in April. Paid what I thought was in full at booking. Got an invoice 2 days later saying balance still due. Checking the invoice lines, an amount for gratuity was added which was the balance owed.  I paid it to keep my booking, but is this correct? I thought gratuity was included with suite booking.  Thanks.

  5. Ok, I think I have figured it out. At home test and in person rapid test from switch health are different but how they present the results for both, which I show to celebrity, is the same. Do I have this right? ( nothing in results that shows an at home test with Biosensor)

I think I will now get second test at Pearson if that one meets the celebrity requirements. Thanks.

  6. The airport test kit is the same as proctored home ones? If so, they are not FDA approved and therefore not acceptable for Celebrity boarding as well?

    Thanks

Thanks for this. Going to use the proctored home ones. Odd that they are good enough without FDA approval to enter US, but not for Celebrity.

Anyone have direct experience boarding Celebrity using proctored Switch Health test?

5 hour layover in YYZ, possible to do an airport test there? Do I need a test to board connecting flight to Y

  8. Just want to see if I have my plan correct. I fly in 2 days early for my Caribbean cruise. Flight into Toronto leaves at 10:10 AM, flight to Fort Lauderdale leaves at 4:45 PM. Staying 2 days in Miami after cruise.

Plan is to do Switch Health rapid test 7 AM on the Friday. That covers the flights, does that cover there cruise requirement leaving on the Sunday? Just checking to make sure it is a 2 day requirement, not 48 hours.

Return seems simpler, just do another Switch Health rapid test the morning of my flight.

Please let me know if I have missed anything or if there is a better way to do this.

    Thanks

  9. This  is what mine says from an email dated January 15, 2021. I thought all FCC were extended to December 31, 2022.  I will make contact with Celebrity to find out.

The expiration date for your FCC has been adjusted to April 30, 2022, for use on sailings departing on or before September 30, 2022.

  10. Sorry for this but am looking for confirmation. I hav FCC’s from a canceled April 2020 cruise. I understand I must use them on a cruise departing by December 31, 2022. I am confused about the booking deadline. Would it be April 30 or May 31? Thank you. If anyone could also provide a link to the relevant information I would be most grateful.

We cancelled our April cruise under the Cruise with Confidence program and I see that it no longer appears in my upcoming cruises, but I'm wondering, where I should see our future cruise credit? We booked thru a TA. Does this mean only the TA can see the FCC and we have to book our replacement cruise thru that same TA?

    Hi,

Did you cancel through Celebrity and not through your TA? I thought if you booked with a TA, you had to go through them to cancel. Thanks

  12. Nothing Celebrity/RC has done so far gives me the confidence to be calm.  Will they wait till the day before again before next round of cancellations? Arbitrarily change those dates after publishing them? Change FCC rules for those who should be able to get cash back? Will they still be in business in 30 days?

I can appreciate the novelty of this situation and how quickly things are developing, but it seems to me they had NO plan for this even though many on this board predicted many of the outcomes.
