The 7 day Western Caribbean menus have a different bread pudding almost every night, but only the Gold Gala lists a crisp. Having one less dessert to select might be a good thing.😀

Is a fruit crisp always available in the MDR, even though it's not listed on the menu? And are there any other always available, off-menu items?

Part of the difference could be the size. I'm guessing the regular MDR steak is 8oz the other is 12. I wonder if the MDR steak is perhaps "choice" grade and the other "prime".
That's what I'm thinking. Pinnacle steaks are wet-aged USDA Prime. I'm not really into steak, but the one time I went to Ruth's Chris I understood the appeal. I've been to the steakhouse restaurants on Carnival and Royal Caribbean and, while they were very good they didn't compare.

So when comparing steaks in the MDR to the Pinnacle Grill, you may be comparing two different types of steak.
I'm comparing the two strip loins steaks available in the MDR, the one that's $20 extra, and the one that isn't.

Quality-wise, how does the $20 Pinnacle Grill upgrade version compare to the included MDR steak?

When I tried downloading the dinner menu for Nieuw Amsterdam it gave me a late night lido buffet menu instead.

I remember when bingo was free and the winners received prizes.
I remember when ships didn't have theaters and the evening entertainment was two dancers or a magician in one of the lounges.

Yes. The entertainment was HORRIFIC. A couple of the bands were really good though. But....JUGGLING? Come on.
Is it the guy who juggles while singing "Defying Gravity"? He was on Enchantment too. I'd hate to think RC is so desperate for entertainment they hired two jugglers.

On our Enchantment Bermuda cruise 2nd night was formal but many of the men couldn't even be bothered to wear long pants. The disco party was in the Centrum. They had disco lessons beforehand and it looked like they got some of the men to perform as the Village People.

We had MTD but made reservations before boarding. We ended up with the same table and staff every night so we got the benefits of both types of dining. And yes, we made sure to tip them extra.

Bracelet when we checked in, not at muster. Bracelet was for covid to show who was vaccinated. Nothing to do with muster.
We didn't have any vaccination wristbands. Our wristbands were given at the muster stations, and we were told it so they could tell who hadn't checked in at their station.

You can't watch the video at any time, but you won't get credit for watching until 4 hours before embarkation, when you'll get an alert. When you get to the muster station you'll get a wristband to prove you were there. Don't put it on too tight as it tightens, but doesn't' loosen, and is made of cloth so if you can't pull it off your wrist you need scissors to cut it off.

Did you happen to observe lines for My Time Dining? Early seating was not available when we booked so we did My Time. Will try to change when we board if My Time is a disaster on this ship as it is on others.
Thanks!
We had MTD but we made reservations before boarding. We ended up at the same table with the same waiters. It was just like traditional dining, but we ate when we wanted.

My wife and I went to a nearby walk-in clinic and walked out a half hour later with our test results in hand. We were not charged but I can't tell you why not.

Are they issuing set sail pass in the terminal or is it waiting for you in your stateroom/door.

Just got off the Enchantment yesterday. Service was as excellent as always. Food, however, could be best described as adequate, with nothing in Windjammer that made me want to go back for seconds. Entertainment was limited. Welcome show was only 15 minutes, and there was only one. Only one big revue show. Other days was a comedian or a juggler.

Did you tell them it was for travel? I’m hearing that people have to pay if the test is for travel.
I did not, and they did not ask.

Thanks for your reply. Did you end up calling the number above? Nice to know a window in which to start calling. What urgent care did you use / fee?
My sister did because she hadn't heard back even though she submitted before me. They immediately emailed her the approval form for her to initial. I went to a Medstar clinic and it was free with my insurance.

We had 11:00 embarkation time for the Enchantment cruise that just got back today. It went very quickly, as there were multiple tables to process people. I think it helps if you've uploaded your photo to the app, but I'm not sure. Also your SeaPass card is at your door, so you don't have to wait for that.
-
Even though you can apply for the authorization a month before your cruise you shouldn't expect to get the approval until a week before as they seem to process them in order of necessity. (RC doesn't even bother to send you a reminder email about until 2 weeks before, which seems to indicate there's no reason to submit it as early as possible.) If you don't hear by then call 1-833-570-2594 and they'll most likely email it to you immediately. You then just type you initials at the bottom and click submit. The official authorization form will then immediately appear, and it clearly states you don't need to upload anything. As for the test even though Bermuda accepts a PCR test within 4 days RC wants all tests within 2. We just did a walk-in at our nearest urgent care clinic and walked out with our negative results in less than half and hour.

We generally do MDR for dinner and Windjammer for lunch, but is there anything that's only available for dinner at Windjammer that's a must try?

Traveling to Bermuda out of Baltimore in July. Is the rapid antigen test acceptable to both RC and Bermuda? I've read the websites for both the country and the cruiseline and the answer seems to be yes, but I want to be sure I don't somehow take the "wrong" antigen test (if there is one). Thanks.
-
We're going on Royal Caribbean in July. Will an in-clinic rapid antigen test 2 days before satisfy both Bermuda and RC's testing requirements?

I believe it's always on the vegetarian menu.
