My husband want to play slots on our upcoming cruise. He has a set amount that he can blow. do the slots take $$ or do they use a card? I've heard people mention how the put $$ on a players account so now I'm a bit confused. Can someone give me the lowdown on how that works? ( Can you tell I don't gamble.;) LOL )

Are there table on the outside decks? I see pics with lots of lounge chairs but no tables. I ask because my son's favorite "family" activity is to play cards and I don't want to be stuck inside all the time.

We plan on decorating our door for thanksgiving on our Splendor 11/25 cruise. I just got some small things from the dollar store, that don't take up much room. I think it's fun.

great video thanks. Going to be on her in three weeks can't wait.
-
I am using your review as a guideline for when I do my review of the Splendor later this month. I love seeing all the pictures and can tell you and your family had a great time.

It looked worse in the photos than in person! It wasn't so bad after a day or so.
Glad to hear it. Nothing ruins a good time like a itchy painfull sunburn.
Loving your review by the way

Hi we are leaving on the Splendor 11-25-13 cruise out of NYC and was thinking of doing the FTTF pass, is it worth it? Also we are a family of 4 traveling with 2 rooms one for my kids and one for my husband and I will we need to purchase 2 passes? Also are there any beaches within walking distance in Freeport? Any suggestions on Port Canaveral we did the Kennedy Space Center last time and have been to Disney and Sea World, my concern is it will be Thanksgiving when we are there? Thanks cant wait 34 days !!!
I'm on the same cruise. I thought FTTF was sold out. We are just staying on the boat for port Canaveral

can't wait till you get to the alaskan part. WE are seriously considering going to alaska for our 15th anniversary.

What is your ship and what are the ports you will visit. Lots of us could make little or no-cost suggestions.
We are sailing on the splendor out of NYC. Ports include Port Canaveral, Freeport, and Nassau

I'm planning on taking my son out of school for a few days around Thanksgiving. He will miss a total of 4 days for our 8 day cruise. I don't find this an issue as he can make up the work and that is usually a slow time at school.

These tips have been wonderful. Thank you so much.

My husband recently came into a small amount of money and bought a cruise package on Carnival for November for us as a surprise gift. He prepaid gratuities. There are my husband, myself, and our 10 yr old son.
I need to pinch pennies seriously in order to have $$ for the trip. My question is what is the bare minimum I will need to save for the trip. We are not going to do excursions.
Also I can use cash for the Sign and save card but what is the least I have to put on it? I don't have a credit card or a grand in my account for the debit card.
Not trying to be totally cheap but need to be realistic about funds.
Thanks
