We've actually found you tube video featuring the Great and Wonderful Larry and his perverted Old MacDonald's farm....
Sure do wish we were on Liberty with ya, Dan! We're on Fantasy as of Sunday!
All best!

LOL.. You know that was ME who posted that.. right? Larry was great. We've had good and bad and he's up there with the best. Just have not heard anything about this guy.. and that's generally not a good sign..

Anyone cruise and have heard Barry Meijer? He's on the Liberty for my next cruise.

Actually saw that and was unimpressed, looked like no audience reaction and the voice was...
Was looking for someone's opinion, not a cocky answer, but thanks anyway..

Whole lobster or tail?

I use the Sigma 18-270mm 3.5 as my 'walk around'. Switch to a nifty-fifty 1.8 for low light use.

I would go with the tour. We did a similar tour but with a different private guide three weeks ago,
Any name that would be useful? What did you do /how much did you pay?
-
Mmmmm.. daily in the dining room? Or where do I find them?
-
How much is it to just walk alongside? Can I get a taxi from Occo Rio to the falls and do this myself?
-
Always.. and have used it twice out of 16 cruises...

Thanks Oldgoat (like the moniker)
It's like life... there are those who bring joy to your life when they enter it, and those who do so when they leave..
I'll definitely try that method...

It was usually at a busy time and there was a waiting line so I think they were glad to be able to seat us quickly. We had some very interesting meals to say the least!
That's good to hear. We may plan accordingly.
And as to interesting meals, so much the better. The nice thing here will be if we hit a really strange one, we can move on.
The shared meals have made some of our cruises memorable.. some good and some bad, but they all make memories.
Once we were seated with 8 others, and only one spoke any English. Once our entire table shared every shore excursion I had arranged, and we had a great time. And then there was the never to be forgotten Father/son bickering team.. The table finally conspired to sit in such a way that they put them on opposite ends of the table, and then they were happy and interesting to be with!
My wife and I have been married for 35 years, read the same newspaper, watch the same shows and go to the same places... Our version of 'swinging' is meeting new people at dinner on a cruise!

Where can you get Iced tea? For example, if I go to the Irish pub and do not want a beer, can I get Iced tea? or are there only dispensers in the buffet?

Sleep like a baby.. but first Balcony coming up.. hope I still do..

Wow... defensive much??
Yes, I have cruised, even once with NCL, but not with the Freestyle concept. I'm not even sure if they have all tables for 2, large tables, anything like that.
But I'll tell you one thing for sure.... if the attitudes expressed here represent the average NCL fan, I'm pretty sure I'll be happy to sit alone, and book another line in the future..

It's been the years since I've cruised, but I definitely remember being asked at every dinner in the MDRs if we wanted to eat with others
That's good, that's what we always do when we go to lunch in the MDR on the other lines.. some of our best memories of cruises are the good (and bad-or at least interesting) memories of our tablemates.

But swack, I see you have sailed on just about every cruiseline. Can you tell me your order of faves?
So far Carnival for the best mix of food and entertainment, which are the reasons we sail. Love their nightly comedy and piano bar.
Next up would be Princess, then Celebrity
Least fave is RCCL, but we've yet to sail their larger ships.
Did not care for NCL 11 years ago, but giving it a try again, main concerns backj then were early Freestyle methods, we'll see how they work this time, on a larger ship.

I usually get an inside for @$60 per night, Just got a Balcony on the Epic, Easter week, for $460, or les then $70/night.

We're first timers and enjoy eating with and meeting new people.. is that not an option, are you always seated by yourself?

As a person who's used it when a Hurricane brought us early to an abandoned port, as well as having to leave a cruise early due to a family death.. I can tell you there are MANY reasons to have insurance, and I always get it..
