  1. We're in 6224 on the Reflection in a couple of months. Worried we'll have this problem...... thought I had the perfect cabin (mid ship on the hump). No good ones left to change to.

I would never assume all ships are the same. Reflection is a newer ship than eclipse with a slightly different design so would be most surprised if the same engine room / equipment fault was on that ship as well as Eclipse. Enjoy :)

  2. As an example of how opinions differ. We like those eight ports in ten day cruises. Actually, only one sea day is fine with us on that short a cruise. We cruise to visit the world. If we wanted to just sit around taking it easy, we do that far less expensively , and more elegantly, in a Four Seasons or spg resort where great golf is an option.

People that don’t want , or are to tired to get off the ship while in port have the option of remaining aboard. Many do this exact thing, so why complain about the number of port stops?

Same here. I love lots of ports. I just do not aim to spend every minute of the port stop ashore :)

  3. I think the area that had the vibration issues was around cabin 1635 which is two decks below the Oceanview.

We were in 6224 in March and the vibration was bad all the time. It was not related to the ship moving and appeared to be something like a generator / ac chiller issue. I can make a direct comparison with the past as I have been staying in 6224 for the last 5 years, with no issues at all in the previously

  4. We had exactly the same issue on Eclipse in stateroom 6224 in the Caribbean this year, even when the ship was moored up. I have been having that same room for some years but this is the first time the vibration was noticable. It seems like there is some issue in the engine room causing this. We were moved to a CC stateroom higher up higher up on the ship, also near modships, which also vibrated pretty badly.

  5. I can’t believe we may lose the Sky Lounge. The only space on the ship apart from the theatre capable of taking any quantity of people. I can see my loyalty’s changing over to Oceania 100% of the time you if us non suite class customers lose more of the ship

I would suggest the entertainment court area if the ship is reconfigured, and better use of the space is made. A ship without an observation bar really is missing something big in my opinion.

  6. Hi,

The good news is the railway station at Nynashamn is very close to where you get off the ship. Catching a train into the centre of stockholm is pretty easy :)

  7. I’m elite plus and if I was honest the extras over and above elite are minimal. I tend to go to the evening cocktails because I like the Sky lounge. I always have a drinks package as part of the booking promotion so don’t actually need the free drinks kindly offered. I do enjoy the elite breakfast in the Tuscan grill. It’s a nice calm way to start the day.

It would be a nice gesture if elite plus gave you a free upgrade to the premium package if you already have the classic. This would be an incentive to stay loyal and achieve elite plus. Also maybe it would be a good idea to have a captains club level between elite plus and zenith [emoji3]

  8. The martini bar, after 2 or 3,gets quite noisey, but the biggest distraction is when the "disk jockey" sets up and starts his bom bom machine, that's when I have to leave,or put in ear plugs !

Some of us like a Bom Bom machine. But then I’m one of those annoying DJs [emoji6]

  9. For UK vodafone wifi calling..

    • If you make any calls to UK mobiles or landlines over Wi-Fi whilst roaming, your calls will be charged in accordance with your usual UK bundle and treated as if you’ve made the call from the UK. This means if you have uk minutes included when at home you can use these for free calling home from abroad :)

  10. To me it looks like Celebrity are getting confused with Royal Caribbean and adding gimmicks rather than focusing on a quality product. The magic carpet seems to stand out like a sore thumb, making the ship look very unbalanced. I have my doubts about the mechanism for the magic carpet and virtual balcony 'windows' in a salt air environment and can see them becoming a maintenance nightmare in the making, and bi-fold doors tend not to be very durable.

It will be interesting to see what the public areas are like, as these are pretty important to the majority of passengers.
