  1. Thanks for the info but I'm trying to figure out if you cancel before final payment is due most lines refund the deposit. I will call MSC to find out the policy between deposit and final payment.

  2.  Are MSC deposits refundable or non-refundable? Never considered cruising with MSC but just had to cancel a free 10 day cruise on Celebrity so I'm not very happy right now.

6 months ago they were handing them out like candy at Halloween to about everyone who ever put $1 in a slot machine.  As we approach Spring Break and summer peak cruising time, I think the Blue Chip offers are going to be scarce unless you were a truly a high roller.

I agree with the above. Our first BCC offer for a free balcony was last August for the Solstice and since then we have received a bunch of offers for free balconies and also for 10% off. The only ones we booked were 2 offers for sailings from Florida.

  4. Yesterday I got the free balcony offer for the Solstice most likely because my wife played in the casino for a little while and used my card to get some play on it. Today she got the same offer offer under her name. Can't imagine how many cabins must still be available that they are trying to fill. Still waiting for some offers for Florida sailings. As to the free drinks while playing, I went to the bar and pointed out my wife on a machine and they had no problem making the drink. Not always easy to find a server to place the order.

  5. Just got another BCC email for a free veranda and this time it was sent to me not my wife. Unfortunately it was only for the Solstice sailings to the Mexican Riviera. Still waiting for more offers for sailings from Florida. Getting to Florida is enough of a trip, not looking to travel to California.

  6. Was on the Reflection in mid Dec. and wore a mask at all times except when eating and wore rubber gloves in the buffet when handling the utensils, Luckily we avoided catching anything.

Was on the Equinox in Sept. and tested positive on day 5 of a 9 day sailing. Did not wear a mask or use the rubber gloves. Will be on the Equinox next month and for sure will wear the mask and use the gloves. I know you can only do so much to protect yourself but every bit helps.

Actually, when my husband was in covid-19 quarantine on the Eclipse he was on deck 3 along with the other quarantined passengers, and none of them had sea pass cards for those rooms.  Now that some covid positive folks are being allowed to remain in their stateroom I wonder if sea pass cards are confiscated?

Was on the Equinox in September and went to medical on day 5 of a 9 day thinking I had a sinus issue . First thing they did was test me and it was positive. Had the option to move to I guess deck 3 but my wife wanted me to stay in our cabin so she was stuck in there with me. They could not have been nicer, upgraded us to premium wi-fi and gave us the expanded room service menu. We ordered lunch and dinner from the restaurant menu the rest of the days. They called the cabin frequently to check on us. When back in Ft. Lauderdale they took us off the ship by ourselves and had a big SUV take us back to the hotel to get our car.

How are you getting offers other than gambling with your seapass?  Did you have to sign up or something?  I get emails from X, and gamble A LOT in the casino.  Have never received an offer.  Am I missing something?  (Yes, I know what a lot is in terms of gambling).

Our last cruise in December on Reflection was a free cruise but my wife used my card for a while on the slots and now I have gotten BCC offers but only for the 10% off deals. She is the one that has gotten the free offers and we will be on the Equinox next month. She got the recent free offer on Solstice but will pass it up living in S.C.

We got a blue chip offer today for Mexico cruise from LA. 7 day. Says a $7 deposit but only the ones leaving asap. The ones leaving later in the month are at a higher price. Any clue why?

I just remembered that my wife got the free cruise to Mexico offer this past Sunday so still hope that she will get more free offers leaving from Florida.

  10. i always check insurance quotes on both insure my trip and squaremouth. The same policies on both will be exactly the same price. The coverages are much better then through the cruise line insurance especially for pre-existing conditions and medical.

    Newest offer emailed today:

I got a BCC email today with this selection except it was not for a free balcony but was the 10% off offer. The offer came under my account. The previous 3-4 free offers we got came under my wife's account as she is the one that plays in the casino, I usually just sit and watch her play. We were on the Reflection in December and she used my card a few times in the casino just to get some play on it and hopefully I would also get some free offers. But so far all the offers I have received were for the 10% off and no free cabins. Now I wonder if all the play should have been on her card but who can figure how they choose who gets what offers.

Does anyone know whether the Apex 2/18 cruise is one of the BCC offered cruises? The reason I ask is that a few weeks ago, there were numerous cabins available. A lot. Now, the ship is virtually maxed out.

I went back and looked at the offer and it was only for the Solstice. As I previously posted, I will wait for sailings from Florida that hopefully will come.

  13. I got the same free Solstice offer today that I got a few days ago to start this post. Will be skipping this offer and hopefully waiting for a free Caribbean offer with many ships and sailings. Was on a free Reflection sailing in Dec. and have an Equinox cruise next month. Not sure when the weather gets warmer if these offers will continue.

  14. Just  got a new BCC email for a free balcony. However it's only for Mexican Riviera sailings on the Solstice.

You can only make the booking online and besides the taxes/fees the charge is $7.00 pp a day. Certainly different from other BCC offers in the past.

Think I'll wait and hopefully get offers to the Caribbean on a variety of ships and sailings.

On Equinox now. Have anytime dining. Went 2nd night at 7.15 and had a 1 hour wait. Went tonight at 6 and waited 15 mins. Both times got a pager and enjoyed drinks at Craft Social until buzzed. Wait will depend on how many of your fellow guests decide to eat at the same time. Ate last night at Ocean View/buffet and though choices were more limited than in the past (15+ cruises with Celebrity), we were fine with the options. Agree with others that it would be nice to have grill options available at the buffet in the evening.

Had you made reservations in advance of the cruise? Was on the Equinox in Sept. and Reflection in Dec. and did not wait more then 2-3 minutes with advance reservations. Getting the times you want can be a problem if not making the reservations far enough ahead of time.

  17. Was on the Reflection last month and had made reservations for 7 or 7:15 depending what was available. They also had a non reservation line but never waited more then 2 or 3 minutes. Will be on the Equinox in March and could only pick from 6:15 or earlier or 8 or later. Will still go at 7-7:15 and see what happens. All times times between 6:30 and 7:45 were already taken and I was booking times 2 months ahead of cruise.

  18. I normally booked with an online TA that can only be contacted by email and a few times with a website where TA'S can compete for your business. However last year I looked at a cruise on the Celebrity website and thought the price was to high for 9 nights on the Equinox. I called and spoke to a Celebrity CVP and I must have been very lucky because she came up with a price that was $800-$1000 less than had I booked it on the website and it was for all inclusive. Then a bigger saving when making a transfer to a TA. Just a little research can lead to big savings.

  19. Have been on the Equinox 3-4 times and the Reflection last month. First cruise or 2 never knew you could make reservations Always went to dining room around 7 and maybe had to wait a few minutes for a table. Since then I was able to make reservations for 7 or 7:15 depending what was open and was always seated almost immediately at table for 2. As I indicated in my previous response, will be on the Equinox again in 2 months and was stuck choosing 6:15 or 8 as the closest to 7. Will still go at about 7 and see what happens.

  20. We never had any problem booking 7 or 7:15 depending which one was open, we usually go to the dining room around 7. Cruise is still 2 months away and when I went to book the times all that was available was 6:15 or earlier or 8 or 8:15 or later. I booked some nights for the 6:15 and some for the 8:00. I figure we will go to the dining room at 7-7:15 and see what happens. Not sure if it's better to go earlier or later to the time I booked. The worst that can happen is they will put on the no reservation waiting line.

Simply depends on the itinerary choices.  My last offer was in late 2022 and was a 60% off deal, but they said I could do a fully comped sailing if it was either the Mexican Riviera out of San Pedro or the Carrib out of Puerto Rico.  There's a reason they're offering only those two as full comps because they're not very popular

The selections have gotten much better. More choices of ships and sailings. My upcoming sailing is 10 days to the southern Caribbean.
