  1. This is why I make a "packing list" for travel.....and two copies! One for departure and another copy for returning home. That way I can be reminded if I have anything left behind. Works for any travel.
  2. Cruise line TV channels are the VERY channels that we do NOT watch at home. It has never been an issue since we are on vacation. Watching TV is something to do at home.
  3. Are you trying to remind yourself that you already have been on this ship? LOL
  4. Carnival requests you file NO LATER than three weeks prior to sailing date. I file two months before sail date.
  5. As long as you are on the Lido....would you bring me back a cup of their black coffee....LOL
  6. You can drag one along if you want to and you will be able to pick it up at the naughty room when you disembark. All luggage will go thru scanners and anything with a cord will be considered a "heat" producing appliance which are verboten. They will open your luggage and remove the item/s. There will be a documented note signed by staff that will verify they removed certain items. Fire is the most dreaded danger on a cruise ship. An overloaded electrical circuit aboard could spell disaster for everyone.
  7. Your cabin might be tight...but don't forget you will only have ONE toilet. That would be the deal breaker for me.
  8. I'm with you....opening that Christmas present on Labor Day just ruins all the excitement for the day. I want to be completely surprised and enjoy ALL the moments of discovery.
  9. I believe that will be the tour we choose. Thanks for your insight.
  10. We are sailing CCL Magic 02/29/20. I have never snorkeled before so I am learning at home in our pool. Of the ports we dock, St. Maarten, Tortola, San Juan and Grand Turk, which one would be the best first time experience for a snorkel excursion booked through CCL? Or should I look at outside vendors for the pleasure?
  11. Mine arrived via email directly from CCL. Their offer was for a measly $720....it was so outrageous I had to decline.
  12. When toilet paper price drops at the grocery, we buy more. Same with stock market.
  13. Checked again today and they only accept US Post or fax submissions. No email.
  14. Always pack My Pillow and don't leave home without it! The company offers a self vacuum pack for their pillows. Place pillow in bag...squeeze out air and it seals tight. Great for packing in your luggage. Of course, I bought mine years ago and the Press & Pack Bag (3-Pack) are 6 bucks or so. Check their website.
  15. I would rather have exceptional service rather than having them stop and force me to watch their "dog and pony" show....it really is quite boring.
  16. Never seen a casino open while docked. I believe they must be in international waters.
  17. And I remember when ships didn’t have TV.... but you just never know.
  18. Or at least a free dinner in the MDR!! That'll fix 'em.
  19. I can't recall the Maître d' ever stopping by my table!
  20. I am positive CCL charges to prevent waste like all the food you see thrown away at the hog trough buffets.
  21. It is amazing people spend thousands upon thousands on a cruise and then start nit picking over a couple of bucks. BE SURE that you notify CCL ahead of time that you are a CPAP patient and they will provide water and extension cord for your trip. Remind your cabin steward when you arrive of what you need and they will handle everything....they are very good caring for your needs.
  22. What a shame....my PVP Chris, answers his phone on the second or third ring...or I leave a message and he calls back in 5 minutes. Find a professional that you can work with. Yes, CCL is working overtime with the Cuba situation.
