MSC introduced a new embarkation system last year whereby your cruisecards are now available in your cabin (though sometimes you're advised to go to one of the lounges to pick them up - that happened to us on Fantasia in February). It's to help speed up the embarkation process. The facility for registering credit cards at your own leisure on the first day has been in effect for a lot longer. There are a number of machines around the ship, primarily at Guest Services area, where you can do this. Again, for the purposes of quicker embarkation times.

  2. Thanks everyone for your replies.

     

    I have spoken to P&O and unfortunately it's too late to transfer to the coach as our car parking has been paid now.

     

     

     

    However we are going to drive to maybe Leicester or maybe a bit further the night before and stay in a premier inn or travel lodge so we have a shorter journey the next day.

     

     

     

    Any suggestions if Leicester is far enough or if travelling further is recommended. :D

     

     

     

    Try and get down further if you can it will be easier for you next day traffic can be very heavy getting into Southampton

  3. That sucks it's a one time thing! In Haiti is was only $39/person for unlimited. This one for Carnival said $59.99/person and it's only once down???? Oh well! Sounds like there's plenty to do!

     

     

    Hi we did this in June we got transport out side port they took us to the excursion we paid there then at the end of the day they rang the taxi people who then picked us up a lot cheaper than paying on the ship we only did the Bob sleigh and the swimming pool had a drink in the bar lovely day out
