  1. Thank you! yes... I was wondering how the pool deck was? How was the sailaway party? Also, do they have a DJ? I have read that the DJ blasts the music so loud that you can't hear the person beside you talking? I love my music loud but not so much I that I have to lean to their ear just to tell them something :D I am taking a first time cruiser friend and want her to have the best time.. she hasn't been on a vacation in years... I was leaning toward switching to the Victory... thanks for any info you can give me!:D

It isn't exactly recent but we went on the Paradise in August 2012. The sail away party is loud but the rest of the music at the pool is at a fine volume. The ship is clean, but dated. It is a little guady, but a lot less than earlier ships. There are some obvious signs of wear, like broken pool tiles. The water slide is a blast. However the pool is PACKED. The aft pool has kiddie pool that is even hotter than a hot tub! The shows are good. The comedy lounge, the Queen Mary, is one of the nicest lounges. I would probably switch to Victory. Newer , bigger ship, more pools, bigger water slide. However, your best bet would be to try Royal Caribbean. Ships are in much better condition, less gaudy. I would suguesst the Enchantment of the Seas from Port Canaveral or the Brilliance of the Seas from Tampa.

  2. I've got plenty of pictures of this ship, let me know if there is anything in particular you would like to see? DW and I were on the Enchantment last year for our honeymoon and absolutely lived it! We had an interior on deck 2 and everything was very convenient.

Thanks! Do you have a picture of your stateroom? Is it easy to separate the beds or do you need your steward to do it? The room looks much bigger with separated beds. Also, can kids go into the Bolero's Lounge? And is there enough seating at the Windjammer or is it packed? Any help would be great

  3. This is minor question, but do the centrum elevators on the Enchantment of the Seas go all the way down to deck two or just the height of the centrum? We have a panoramic ocean view on deck 8 and a interior on deck 2. It would be nice to only have to take one elevator/staircase to our other cabin.

  4. Also, the RCI website states that during incliment weather and certain times, kids are allowed in the solarium. What time are they allowed, if any? The kids saw me looking through EOTS pics and they thought that it looked amazing.

  5. I am booked on to the August 4th sailing of the Enchantment of the Seas. We are excited that the Park Cafe made its deubt on EOTS, but are kids allowed to eat there? We understand that it is in the adults-only solarium. One of our kids loves roast beef and the salads sound great. Are kids allowed to eat there but otherwise not be in the solarium?

  6. Hi, we are a family of 5 ranging from 48-9. We are thinking of doing a four night Bahamas cruise either on Enchantment of the Seas or the Norwegian Sky. We have been on the Carnival Paradise. We live in St. Petersburg so Port Canaveral is an hour closer. Sky is slightly cheaper. The kids want the bungee trampolines and rock climbing walls of Enchantment, but we heard NCL is a great cruise line. Plus, Sky is newer. How is disembarkation on the ships? The ports make no difference because they are virtually the same.

    Thanks!
