  1. This week? We're usually at 2 or 3/$1, price is going up to 99 cents tomorrow.

You know, I'm not sure. I usually buy them once a week/fortnight and didn't get any last week. I'm going shopping tomorrow so I will check!

  2. We've done Disneyland twice already and will be doing Disney World for 10 days in Nov '14, my hubby is kind of getting Disneyed out (his words) :D The cruise is for our 10th anniversary so I don't mind making it more about us but still want the kids to have fun.

Will there be any sailings out of FL that are longer than 7 days for 2016? There's only the Escape officially on the schedule so far.

  3. Ok, I've settled on a 2 bedroom suite for our cruise (going to go Feb 2016) and now am trying to narrow down the ship. I've been poring over the forums for stuff on these ships, now I'm just looking for personal opinions.

I like the looks of the Getaway for the kids, we will have 3 younger ones, (just turned 3yo, almost 5yo and 7.5yo), but the Pearl has the longer cruise. I do realize that the Pearl gets chartered out often during that time, we are okay with pushing it back to a later date if it does.

The Getaway has the nicer cabins and water slides. Pearl doesn't seem to have a water slide anymore? Itineraries seem to be similar.

I've also looked at the Breakaway and Escape, both which are options. We'd be flying from Idaho to the port, so cost is about the same no matter where we embark. New York might be fun to show the kids around before the trip.

I guess what it comes down to is length of cruise vs. amenities. The kids will likely be with us and not in the kid's club for most of the time, so having more options for the kids is a big plus. The other option would be to take the shorter cruise and go to Disney either before or after for a few nights. We already have tickets, so it would just be the cost of the hotel/food.

Am I forgetting anything? What would you all choose if you were in my position?

  4. Make sure the youngest is 3 yrs. at time of sailing or else you won't get all that alone time you are anticipating! They don't take kids under 3 in the kids club and they are strict about it.

Yep, we are planning on just after his 3y birthday :) depending on the cruise he may turn 3 on the cruise, after he is 3, he's ok to go in the kids clubs right? Just not before. Or do they count as the age they are at embarkation for the whole cruise?

  5. We had 5 large adults with no problem. 2 in the Master & 3 in the 2nd bedroom - 2 on the pullout and 1 in the drop down. For some it wouldn't work but with no one sleeping on the living room sofa it worked out very well for us. The butler could set up breakfast without disturbing anyone. And no one had to worry about wandering around the cabin while others were sleeping.

With the OP's kids it will be fine - way better than all sharing an inside with a crib set up.

Yeah, I was just planning on putting the 2 younger kids on the bottom and the oldest on the top in the 2nd bedroom. I figured that would leave the living room open for us at night after the kids are asleep and we still want to hang out.

I'm seriously so stinking excited about this, you guys have no idea. We don't get any time without kids right now, so having the option for the kid's clubs and dinner by ourselves is thrilling :D I'm almost wanting to do 2 weeks instead of 7-10 days... not sure if that would be too long or not.

  6. Ok, that's what I thought, but then I was on cruisestateroom and it was showing that the 2 bedroom sleeps 4 (the Epic offhand was one of them, I think).

My second question was referring somewhat to the OS and aft penthouse suites, they sleep 4, but does NCL ever book 5 in one?

  7. I'm checking ships/itineraries and have narrowed it down to a 2 bedroom suite for our 10th anniversary cruise. Do they all fit 5+ people or is it only 4 on some of the ships?

Also, it will be 2 adults, 3 kids (7,4 and 2/3 depending on what week we go). Does NCL ever book 5 into a 4 person suite with a crib/rollaway?

I'm trying to figure out which ships are going to work for us.
