So confused. How can you make phone calls on FB messenger?
Confused if we would be better using Whatsapp or Facebook messenger with the social network?
Should all of it be while your phone is on airplane mode? Any other settings on your phone or tablet?

For the "Social Network" package on Carnival, is it better to use FB messenger or Download the "WhatsApp"? If you think "WhatsApp" is best do you turn on cellular? Not wanting to rack up a huge bill with Verizon.
Thanks for any information!

It says August 29, not sure if that is 2015 or 2016. I understand you can text your whole group for $5 total to let them know where you are etc. Sure hope it will be on the Triumph.

Yes, they gave them practically away to big casino players. Very tired of their 7 day same itineraries. Love the long cruises to new places.

Can you buy a coffee punch card that if you don't use up then you can use it on the next cruise, like Princess?
-
WE LOVE THOSE! Carnival PLEASE add them back:)!!

I do facebook, but didn't know you could call on FB. Is there a special app I need to download to be able to make calls?
Thanks so much for information!

So you were able to send iphone messages too? and you were able to post on FB pictures and details during your trip.
Does anyone know if Carnival Triumph has it now?
Thanks!

So are both you and your husband able to use the $5 per day social media like Facebook on their own tablets for $5 per day? If you have used it, how did it work for you?
Thanks

My husband and I will be on a long cruise and wondering what our best options would be? Should we both get a Verizon international plan if we want to text each other on board or kids at home or does the $5 per day plan work out better?
We would also like to keep up with friends on FB.
Thanks for any advice!

Can you use your OBC in the casino, specialty restaurants, and booking future cruises? Also to use your OBC for excursions if you book them ahead of time will they be covered by your OBC or do you need to wait and book them on the cruise?
Thanks for any info

Was wondering if the Carnival Triumph dining staff has an email address like RCCL? We are on a B2B on the Triumph again this year. Last year we and another couple we were traveling with chose the 6:00 traditional dining. When we all got onboard they switched everyone that had the 6:00 dining to 5:15?? everyone was not happy. They told all of us to just come late, which made the staff unhappy. We were on there for 21 days. 5:15 is too early Triumph. PLEASE leave everyone that has 6:00 traditional dining booked at 6:00 please!
If anyone has an email address for this ship I would love to contact them. I tried calling Carnival and was told there wasn't one???
Thanks!

Excellent! I plan to buy 4! Nothing to lose!

So it does sound like they still are worth purchasing?? It would combine with stock holders credit, etc.? 7 day you get $100 obc per cabin? so even if you are cruising solo in a cabin you still get the $100 obc per cabin??
-
Yes, please post it on John's other site page with the "check mark".

Great information from all. Please keep it coming!

Hope he will answer, then I will be giggling:)! Because then maybe we will know something. From your reply, I am assuming he doesn't really answer real questions????:/! Who do you call because the reps do not know the answers??
-
Just posted on John Hearld's page on another site... Hopefully he will answer some of these questions.
We have usually cruised other lines where the future cruise desk is much more orderly and knowledgeable. So, have never bought the future cruise "fire sale" type cruises on Carnival. Can't seem to get any help with their long lines and erratic hours.
I have noticed many changes in Carnival recently... They must have a new team making some radical decisions...
I called the Carnival rep and she was very nice but is as confused with all the changes as we all are.
Hopefully, John Heald will answer and give us the information we are seeking.

So, are you saying not to book onboard... Just posted on another thread and now I am totally confused;0!! Hoping the rep on the Triumph is knowledgeable and helpful... Can you make an appt?? I hate the long lines and they are never open when I am available... HELP!!!!
-
Can't seem to find any??? Sure hope there will be some. Love doing their B2B beginning in Galveston and ending in Galveston. Did one last February B2B 21 days. Hoping for more:)!

Got 2 $500 gift cards today. I want to use them to make some onboard bookings for future cruises....
No yet sure of the cruises, so would the best bet be to "book the furthest out, shortest cruise for past guest" until the cruises are selected? Would it be better and cheaper to book for only 1 in the cabin or would you pay for 2 upfront anyway?
Thanks for any advice on getting the most flexibility when buying bookings on board.
Also, when we pay for the booking do we just pay then with the Verizon gift card? I do not really want to apply the gift card to my on board account.

Well i haven't experienced the American Table. But I really like white tablecloths on the tables:(! I dress nicely for dinner each night and really appreciate feeling special and a little pampered:)! Guess we will find out on our January cruise...
-
Also, How much OBC do you get for a 7 day cruise when booking onboard??
Thanks!
-
How much deposit do you need for Onboard booking for 1 person?
Thanks!!

Found out that the Triumph doesn't have the Hub app. They do offer the social media pkg though.
