  1. I saw this somewhere else and thought it may be of interest if you are concerned about no representation in Russia.

Russia closes British consulate in St Petersburg. As EU citizens, Brits still have protection of all 27 other EU nations embassies in Russia.

  2. Please, can anyone tell me how much this costs on the ship in $.

Does the cost vary by cruise or by ship?

To pre buy in UK the cost is £84.56

The service charge. How much is it in $ for a 14 night cruise?

(Do they charge for 14 or 13?, I believe it is $13.50)

    Many thanks

  3. Yes the burgers and hot dogs are still free. But are kept under warming lights. The rolls seemed to become toasted and the lettuce was cooked to a lovely insipid brown colour, the cheese in the burger had melted and become stuck on the paper wrapper and cooked solid. Chips were sometimes quite hard and the coleslaw was dried out. But actually they were quite nice and we enjoyed them a couple of time (Yes, we went back for more!). We didnt try the pay for food and didnt see anyone else trying it either.

  4. For clarification what sort of hoops do cruisers from say the USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand have to jump through to enter the EU?

On a recent Princess Scandinavian cruise ALL NON EU passport holders (which will be us soon) spent a long time having passports checked and queuing for face to face immigration interviews.

  5. Campolady,

Please could I have your views on my plans for a Friday in Malaga in November

From reading all your great information we would like to go to Gibralfaro Castle. My husband has difficulties walking so would need transport up, but would probably be able to make our way slowly down. Are there taxis at the dockside? Appox cost? Or would the bus be best? We would need to exit the port and go to the park for bus number 35? where is the bus stop? Fare? How much is the entrance fee? What age do you become a Senior? Dual ticket as we would like to go to the Alcazaba as well. How do you get from the Castle (I know you said the 2 sites are not linked by pathways), is it far, walkable if you are not too good at walking? We are not keen on HOHO.

Then how would you get to the Roman Amphitheatre? Are they still digging there? Is there now an entrance fee? Then possibly down to the Ataranzana Market and maybe round the old town.

I saw mention of a lift to the Alcazaba, is it still a long climb up to the castle?

Sorry for so many questions, but any and all advice and information would be gratefully received.

    Many thanks.
