  1. Thank you for the advice. I think we will lean towards Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International.
  2. This fall we will be taking our first Transatlantic from Rome to Miami arriving at 5:00 am. My question concerns booking our flight back to Canada. We could get one departing Miami airport at 12:15 pm or go to Fort Lauderdale airport for a 2:50 pm flight. I’m wondering which option would be best considering getting through immigration off the ship, finding a taxi or shuttle and the distance to either airport or should we be looking for an even later flight. We would do luggage self-assist off the ship. Thank you for any advice.
  3. Thank you Dragon for another great review. I live in Charlottetown and want to say what a lovely job you did depicting our little province with your pictures and commentary. I haven’t been out to Anne of Green Gables for several years and after seeing your posts and pics, I’m thinking it is time to go again!!! You certainly had a beautiful PEI fall day for your touring. Hope the rest of your Maritime port stops are enjoyable.
  4. DH and I are also on the January 20 four-day sailing but did not receive any e-mail.
  5. Thank you for the advice. I guess we will wait and purchase a train or bus ticket when we are in Amsterdam to visit Zaanse Schans. Is it also the same area where the cheese making place is located as well as clog making?
  6. For anyone who has done a tour to this area, would it be necessary to book in advance or just get tickets “day of”? We would be there the first week of September so not sure of the tourist crowds.
  7. Glad to hear you will be catching up soon. DH and I are considering a TA so I’m looking forward to your continuing comments. Hope you are feeling better soon!!
  8. Perhaps you could come back on here after your cruise and give any suggestions, etc. It would be appreciated!!
  9. I didn’t realize Best Guides did tours in other places. Thanks for the info. I will check them out.
  10. Thank you everyone for your great suggestions. We will definitely check everything out and make our plan. No mobility issues and we walk daily for exercise so I don’t foresee any problem for us in that regard.
  11. We will be doing a Baltic cruise on Brilliance of the Seas in late August. We’ve been checking out our stops and feel we can do some of them on our own (Skagen, Tallin, maybe Helsinki). We have booked a two-day St. Petersburg tour with Best Guides. I’m wondering if it would be best to book a ship or private tour for Stockholm and Copenhagen or maybe use a HOHO bus? We do like to explore on our own but feel these places might be too big and busy for us to do that. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
