  1. The price was lowered for our 22-day repositioning cruise last September. I'm hoping they'll do it again next January for our 13-day cruise. If they don't, we won't get it, even though you don't need to drink 15 drinks to break even, six or seven will do it, a few more for beer drinkers.

Yea, they said they would possibly adjust the price based on time of year, length and itinerary. No one remembers that part of the official price change release. I am going to ask on FB, where people actually have insider information.

  2. Well 12+ day cruises aren't new to carnival and there was no adjustment in Cheers on those various sailings.

If you are looking for facts beyond folks on here guessing,I would ask on the Carnival forums or on fb where an actual employee can address your question.

    Thank you.

  3. Wow! 15 x 21 = a lot of booze

I agree, and the voyages have a lot of port days that seem to be a little longer than normal. I can save maybe 10$ a day on the program, I can't drink 15 for 1 day let alone 12+. That's why I was asking if anyone had heard anything as Carnival has said that they could adjust the terms of Cheers based on length, time of year, cruise port...etc.

  4. You're posting on a message board but not looking for opinions? Okey dokey ...

LOL, are you saying there are no facts to be had on cruise critic? Only opinions?

My original post "Has anyone heard of any price adjustments for Cheers Program for 12+ day cruises....."

As opposed to "Does anyone have any opinions on a price adjustment for Cheers Program for 12+ day cruises.....?

    Notice the difference?

  5. ??why would there be any honestly. Carnival wants to make money. Our 21 day Journeys cruise has 15 ports cheers would not be worth it IMHO.

That's why I was thinking maybe they would lower the daily price......for the reason you stated.

  6. If you believe her "story"....easy way out. We no longer use any PVP's...tried 3 of them...now we book on our own. There is nothing they do for us that we can't do and control for ourselves.....easy peasy!!

I am very happy with my PVP, I wish everyone had one that they were happy with too. There are things you can't handle for yourself, you have to at least call and have someone take care of it for you, I like for it to be someone I have dealt with before when I have to make that call.

  7. I don't know why everyone is always thinking everyone is "out to get something" never once did I ever ask for anything. In fact I'm pretty sure In my original post I even said "morale of the story just make sure you keep a good eye on you accounts. I had no idea a pvp could add something like that without me contacting them or without me knowing"

I wasn't posting it to ask for free stuff or anything at all. I literally was trying to be helpful to others and make sure others know that something like this could happen to them. I had no clue my pvp could add something to my account without me authorizing it. This is why it's a good idea to how what your balance should be, so that if it changes, you actually notice.

I personally am so far removed from reality that it hurts people, but I never thought you were out to get something nor will I ever believe that your PVP would do this on purpose. It's always a good idea to check in on your Carnival account, I do every day.

Nothing wrong with reminding everyone that they should look in on their account regularly.

  8. So I ran into a fellow FTTF hater on the Breeze and he made an interesting point. OK so it's more like a conspiracy theory. The theorist complains that Carnival intentionally keeps lines long, tendering processes slow, and rooms unavailable to keep demand for FTTF high.

While I doubt his theory of the intentional delays, he does have a point- if people are willing to pay for FTTF what incentive does Carnival have to improve these choke points that cause people to buy the convenience in the first place? Why should Carnival try to reduce lines at GS by hiring more staff for example, when they simply say "the long lines are a problem, and here is a way around the problem, if you pay for it."

Not only do they get to avoid fixing a problem, but they gain a new revenue stream at the same time. Genius!

The GS lines are long and will continue to get longer because people complain about the most insignificant thing.

  9. How about asking your own question then? In the headline mention Carnival and it's now related.

Back to my point this post isn't Carnival related, and is what is cluttering these boards up.

The original question was did your group win big money? They never mentioned Carnival, a ship, anything cruise line related.

Also how can anyone answer your question with any certainty? It would be anecdotal at best. 20 says they won big, 30 groups lost. How does it matter when their ships may not pertain to the ship you're sailing.

This is what is cluttering up these boards? LOL
