I vote for the full transit. You will feel like you missed something if you opt for partial.

This is exactly my thinking.....
This is the best transit review I have ever seen. Give it a read before you make up your mind.http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1942047&page=2
will read, thanks

I'm looking to book a canal trip can someone tell me what their experience was with a partial crossing and returning to the same port?
I was thinking I wanted to do the full crossing, but now wondering if it is worth the extra cost.

I'm looking to do a B2B out of San Juan doing the Southern Caribbean itinerary and was wondering what peoples thoughts are on which ship they would choose between JOS or AOS?
I know it's subjective, but I've never been on an RCI ship before (Allure 11/14).

My cruise on November 29th on Oasis they want $1688pp for a B2 boardwalk balcony.
That's insane!

Yep, our oceanview balcony on Nov. 9th Allure cruise went to $4100.....ouch

Awesome review.
Nice choice on the camera, I have a D7100 also and I can't wait to give my 12-24mm lens a workout on the Allure in Nov.
If you would I would love the info for the TA you used also. mike3fan at yahoo dot com
Again thanks for taking the time to write up the review.

Perhaps she is just more comfortable with the Caribbean ports because she may be more familiar with them??
I think it's more about past reputations of some of the places and more recent news stories about Mexico.
I try to tell her the last thing the cruise lines need would be for a major issue with their pax in a port on one of their excursions.

I desperately want to do the PC, but the DW doesn't feel the ports of call on most of these cruises would be considered be as safe as the more traditional eastern and western Caribbean routes.
Anything you can say to alleviate those concerns of hers would be appreciated.

Well I guess this is as good as place as any for my first post. Thank you for taking the time to write such a complete recap of your cruise. While I certainly won't be eating at most of the places that you ate and I don't care for wine, but I enjoyed reading about all the different places you experienced.
I showed my wife the thread and she went thru it in like an hour. I on the other hand read every word over 3 days:D. We sail on the Allure in Nov. and I will get a lot out of what you wrote, thanks again.
