Gorgeous photos, I can't wait to hear about your cruise and see all the photos. Thanks for posting.

Also, just posting on the thread adds you to the subscription.
I'm not aware of that happening. I only seem to get subscribed to the threads that I manually set. You might have changed a setting for this website to do that for you automatically. I personally wouldn't want auto subscription, that would drive me bonkers.:p

How does one subscribe?
At the top of the page of the thread, click on Thread Tools and then in the new pop down menu, click subscribe to thread.

Thanks for starting a Live From the Regal thread Av8tor! I'm looking forward to your impressions of this fine new ship.

See h3rjp's mini-review (post 739 on this thread). He said that he could.
Yup, just confirming it since it has been questioned. Read about it on Seatrader.

I've read reports that we will be able to walk the length of the ship on each side of the Promenade deck.

This was a wonderful morning getting caught up on the arrival photos in Venice.
Thanks again for you live from comments, we all enjoyed them, they were very helpful.

Lovely photos from the Regal Princess! Thanks to Robert and Dave on their joint efforts in posting them here.
-
h3rjp, thank you for taking the time to post your comments.

Yes.
The flip side is that on disembarkation day, you have to be out of your cabin by 8am, so the stewards can get to work to ready the cabins for boarding passengers. I consider it a worthwhile trade-off -- I'd rather start my unpacking sooner than hang about one that last sad morning!
I totally agree with you!

We stayed in Marina 123 if I remember correctly. It was one of the quietest locations I've ever been in. The Royal Princess really seems to ride the waves smoothly. I was prepared for a rough ride, but it never came to fruition.

Hi Ken, I am sure that you and your partner will enjoy your first Princess cruise as much as my partner and I have enjoyed all of ours! I think you will also find that the cruise line and staff are all very gay positive as well. Look out the the LGBT get togethers listed in the Princess Patters (daily activity guide) if you're interested in meeting other gay couples on board. There are usually at least a few other couples who show up on most cruises we've been on.

Bon Voyage h3rjp and thanks for posting from the Regal Princess. I can't wait to hear more of your impressions and see you photos if you're able to post any for us.
-
I hope we start to see interior and top deck photos soon!

She's beautiful just like her sister.

The Crown's central staircase is fully available. The Grand is the only Grand class ship without an accessible central staircase.

Wonderful review, thanks for sharing it with us.
-
Great webcam shots Dave.
-
Congrats on keeping your balcony cabin for your next leg of your fabulous cruise.
-
No it's not open on the Royal. If you meant to ask about the Regal, I'll let you know in 9 days...
I too anxiously await your report!
-
I can't wait to see more photos of the Regal to see what changes were made compared to the Royal.
-
Yes the webcam looks quite good. The mural looks very different from the one on the Royal.

Still loving your trip reports Gwen. We did the river tour on the Bateaux Parisienne when we were in Paris many years ago. What a wonderful way to see some gorgeous Paris sites. The food and drink were lovely as well, highly recommended to anyone going to Paris.

Nice invitation.
Sorry, I tried to link to that photo of Dave's that showed a mural in the Retreat pool area, at least a hint of it, but I obviously did something wrong along the way. :(
Glad to hear the delivery of the Regal is going to go as planned.

Yes, it does based on a video that I saw recently.
