Want to think about future cruising and are planning a river cruise for 2024. I'm looking at doing a wine specific cruise to really enjoy the wine regions over in Europe - thinking Danube and wondered which line would be the best to go on. Want wine excursions, wine dinners etc.
Looking at Ama and Avalon. Would love to hear folks recommendations.

Have you looked at Celebrity's 4 or 5 or 6 day cruises? We've been on a 5 and a 6 and they are more boozy cruises but still less kids.

Sounds similar to something I've taken on my last 3 Celebrity cruises, never had a problemWe've had no trouble taking one in the past on RC, but haven't tried with Celebrity. It's the Belkin travel surge protector. 3 outlets and a couple of USB ports. Great little thing for travel.Do you think they'll allow it?

Yeah since that ferry #82 goes right to the amusement park it runs much more frequentlyThank you all so much again for the help. I do have the RS book. But the book is 2015 edition and some info is not up to date. The book says the the ferry runs every hour. That is why I am a little worried about the ferry schedule. I feel more comfortable now that it runs every 15 min.Sent from my STV100-2 using Tapatalk

If you Google Stockholm transportation the website for the bus and ferry will come up and it was easy to put in the destinations. Looked like the ferry picked up every 20 min, all it does is go back and forth so it's pretty quickThank you all so much for the advice. This is exactly what I was looking for. So I will take the City Hall off the list. The ferry seems like a very nice way to travel between these two places.Do you remember how frequent the ferry runs? Is there any place I can find the timetable for the ferry? How much time should be allocated for the old town?

Just did this 2 days ago. Took bus 76 to the Vasa, stop Djurgarden. Then after the museum walked South along the shore towards the amusement park and took ferry #82 to Slussen which is where old town, Gamla Stan starts. Then at the end of the day took 76 bus back to port. Just remember what the stop looks like because there are a few Frihamen stops. All of this on a 24 hour pass that we bought at the terminal building. At the TI desk. Note when going to the Vasa the 76 is in the direction of Nora "something" and then going back it's towards Ropston. Hope this helps it was really easy and clean. You won't have time for city hall. If you can get a copy of Rick Steve's Northern European Cruise ports he has great directions that I followed

Question - did you have the need to get any Rubles or were you able to use credit card and Euro? Reason I'm asking is someone on another thread mentioned needing Rubles for the bathrooms?

There is the train. I know that you can do the train the other way so it should work. It is a 3 hour trip

Nope. If I did that means they win and I am not going to give into fear. I'm more likely to get killed on my commute to and from work.

So I have a question, we are getting in at 7:40 and we are coming in a few days early, but was thinking about booking the Anne Frank museum that first day, should we wait for early afternoon? Or try for earlier? Wasn't sure how much time to get thru customs and drop off luggage at hotel and get a snack

you can take one of those magnet back note pads and put it on the wall just inside the door for a 'message center' We have magnet strips in our permanently packed cruise kit and our walls are lined with papers!! No mess on the desk.
Would love to know what else is in your cruise kit?

I just posted a review of our day in Tallinn, Estonia. It's a delightful little city and very easy to do on your own and in one day. Tallinn was the last stop on our Baltic cruise before disembarking in Stockholm and turned out to be a real charmer!

WIFI On Edge Class Ships - Need to work for a few days
in Celebrity Cruises
Posted
Hello all, will be cruising on the new Ascent in January and need to work a few days. Willing to pay for the Premium Wifi but had some questions (I've sent an email to Celebrity but haven't heard back)
1. How do you handle phone calls? Is that done via the wifi?
2. Anyone know the upload and download speeds?
3. Anyone have any lag time using the premium wifi on the Edge Ships?
4. Anyone have virtual meetings via wifi - either with MS Teams or Zoom?
Hopefully there is a Techno-Person out there who can help me.
If I can't work I may have to cancel my cruise.
