  1. How difficult is on-site parking at the port with the Mardi Gras? We parked on-site when we took the magic a few years ago and it was so easy! Just drove in paid plenty of spots and done maybe 5 minutes max! I have heard with so many people on the Mardi Gras it’s not easy and the garage fills up fast! Is this true?

  2. So question. We are leaving on the Mardi Gras on Nov 19th. I opened my planner and it says view vaccination survey but has a green check next to it. But underneath it says review vaccination survey.  I click and it says to enter vaccination status. I check fully vaccinated for all 4 of us then click submit. It returns me back to the original page. When I click it has me do it again. I have tried 2 different desk tops and my phone. Nothing.not sure what to do from here. I already submitted our vaccination cards.

  3. Looking into a cove balcony on the Horizon. Was hoping for some feedback. I noticed these cabins are only on deck 2 and below the restaurant/galley. How is the noise? We usually get a balcony on deck 16 but trying to keep the cost down while still having a balcony. Thanks

  4. So we have a cruise booked on the Mardi Gras but got a good offer for the Horizon. Question is. I was watching some horizon videos that said the bar was removed from

the casino. So….. how do you get free drinks while playing in the casino If there is no bar? Is there a server walking around?

  5. Hi! Quick question please! We pre purchased shore excursions, cooking classes the steakhouse, soda package and cookies for our upcoming Nov cruise a few months ago. When I log on I only see the shore excursions and the cooking classes. How come I cannot see the water soda package or the cookies anywhere? Am I looking in the wrong place? I searched everywhere. Thanks

Say they raise drinks 15% that's $1.50 on a $10 cocktail, or $2.40 on a $16 cocktail at the alchemy bar. So you would be paying $11.50 and $18.50 respectfully.  Now this also brings up a good point where the Cheers lets you get a drink up to $20 I wonder if they will raise that limit to accommodate the rise in base pricing of the drinks

$16 for a drink at the alchemy bar? I have looked at all the menus and see $10.50 are they really $16 now? I don’t remember paying that much!

Like so many others on these boards,  I was looking forward to seeing the Mardi Gras deck plans, following  the MG threads religiously, stalking the leaked deck plans, etc....and then last night happened and literally the only time we can sail in the dates that were finally published is an UBER EXPENSIVE Holiday.  My husband was having NONE OF IT since the Carnival Magic is available on the exact same dates at virtually half the price for the same room category (Regular Balcony on the Magic for family of 4 is $4,100 vs, $7,300 on the Mardi Gras with tips/ taxes and insurance all included in that price).   so, needless to say, I was not able to book the Mardi Gras, but I was able to book the Magic.

I really am hap, hap, happy that I will be sailing for New Years 2020 into 2021, that's a bucket list item for me:classic_cool:, and I am stoked deep down, BUT I can't help feeling a little bit bummed and let down that I'm not on the new super mega Mardi Gras.  (I will book her eventually, don't worry)

ANYWAY, I am counting on all of you wonderful CC'ers out there to really sell me on the Magic and let me know that I have done the right thing~ what do you love about her ~why is she your favorite ship~  Tell me that I will really love her too.   I need to read some positive, uplifting words today.

I am hoping that the disappointed feeling will pass and I can get on with my life knowing how lucky I am that I am able to cruise at all, and super blessed.

We sailed the magic 2 years ago and will be sailing her again in July! GREAT ship! We had a blast!

  8. We were on the Liberty 12/20-12/23 for a quick birthday cruise. We booked the steakhouse many months before the increase from $35-$38 and was informed that if we booked before the increase the old price of $35 would be honored. The confirmation that was in the mailbox of our cabin even said $35. When the bill came and it was $38pp I questioned it and was told they sent the wrong confirmation paper out. I said yes, but I was told if I booked before the increase It would be $35. After a lot of looking at me like I was dumb getting the manager and second guessing me they gave it to me for $35 a person. It was not the extra $6.00 a person that I cared about it was the principal. If you are told something it should be honored with no question.
